Please note:

According to Section 32 Paragraph 1 of the State Higher Education Act, coursework and examinations are linked to enrollment (re-registration) in the respective degree program with a corresponding artistic focus. Re-registration is generally required for all coursework and examinations. This also applies if coursework and examinations have to be completed beyond the standard period of study or after the final examination has been taken. From the summer semester 2023, re-registration is also required in this case. The entitlement to instruction remains unaffected (additional re-registration does not result in an additional entitlement to individual tuition). During a leave of absence, coursework and examinations are generally not possible.

Inform yourself in good time in the about possibilities and necessities of the re-registration (enrollment) and if necessary, apply for individual part-time work or a leave of absence. This goes especially if:

  • individual academic achievements and module completions are completed after the standard period of study has expired or after completion of the bachelor's or master's examination
  • the time of the bachelor's or master's examination or final examination in the concert exam (for professional or private reasons) takes place after the standard period of study.

Please note: The re-registration beyond the standard period of study or after the final examination (extension of study period) must be submitted in writing with the signature of the mentor! You can fine the application form in the Infothek section under Downloads.

Basic information can be found in the information center under “Re-registration” and under “Leave of absence”. If you have any further questions, please contact the Study Administration.
