Eri Ogawa-Listmann was born as the daughter of a piano teacher in Tokyo (Japan). She received her first piano lessons from her mother at the age of three. At the age of four, she was already enjoying aural training, which helped her to develop absolute pitch. Every semester at Toho Music School she had to pass a new exam to qualify for the school. 

Later, Ms. Ogawa-Listmann studied at the Toho Music Academy, which she passed with distinction. She studied in Tokyo with Prof. Y. Tamaki, Prof. Y. Kitamura and Prof. A. Miyoshi. Further studies followed in Trossingen with Prof. Johann van Beek, where she successfully completed her diploma and the postgraduate artistic course in piano. Afterwards, she took a postgraduate course in chamber music and song interpretation, which Ms Ogawa-Listmann also completed successfully with Prof. Kübler and Prof. Rieger. She attended numerous master classes; e.g. with Prof. V. Margulis in Freiburg, Prof. H. Leygraf in Sweden, Prof. Ringeisen in Weimar, Prof. V. Merzhanov and Karl Ulrich Schnabel in Trossingen. 

Already during her studies Ogawa-Listmann accompanied many chamber musician and worked with singers. She gave concerts at home and abroad. Since 2005, Ms Ogawa-Listmann has been a lecturer at the Trossingen University of Music and Performing Arts. She also works as a piano teacher at the Music School in Trossingen and Donaueschingen.
