Silvia Schrenk, soprano, was born in Baiersbronn. She received her first piano lessons at the age of 10, later she changed to the youth class for piano at the Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen. After a social-pedagogical education she taught for several years at the school for mentally handicapped people, Carl Orff School, Villingen. She received her vocal training from Prof. Josef Sinz, Trossingen University of Music and Sabine Seidel, Freiburg. 

From 1992 to 1997 Silvia Schrenk studied singing with Prof. Swaantje Weimer at the Trossingen Music Academy. During her studies she received lessons and courses from Richard Wistreich (Early Music) and Prof. Wolfgang Kübler (Lied). She completed her studies as a qualified music teacher for voice with concert studies with Towako Sato, Freiburg University of Music. She also took courses with Prof. Johannes Pfeiffer, Stuttgart, and at the Stuttgart Bach Academy. 

In 1998 she was a member of the Nordic Chamber Choir (soloist choir) under the direction of Nicol Matt. Various concert tours have taken her throughout Germany. Her repertoire includes works of song and oratorio, opera and operetta, several CD recordings and radio broadcasts.

Silvia Schrenk taught as a singing teacher at the music school at the Franziskaner, Villingen as well as at the music school Donaueschingen and led the youth band of the Protestant Jakobusgemeinde (Niedereschach, Dauchingen, Kappel, Weilersbach).

In the region she has become known as a soloist through performances such as Ludwig van Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony" under the direction of Jan Stulen (Frankfurt), Carl Heinrich Graun's "The Death of Jesus" or the "Great Mass in C minor" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Her participation in the world premiere of Christof Wünsch's "Cantata at the end of the 20th century", Igor Stravinsky's "Mass" under Heike Hastedt (Villingen), in operettas such as "The Merry Widow" and "Black Forest Girl" as well as in recitals shows the versatility of her musical work.
