Raluca Chifane-Wagenhäuser - German pianist with Romanian and Greek roots

Already at the age of 11 she won 1st prize at the international Yamaha piano competition in Stresa (Italy). Further prizes and radio and television recordings followed.

Her musical and artistic career has been influenced by the various great European traditions from the very beginning. Her teachers gave her a great European consciousness. As one of Svjatoslav Richter's few grandchildren, she learns the atypical Russian piano school, which is based on the authenticity of the sound and art to be conveyed.

Raluca Chifane-Wagenhäuser received all compulsory prizes during her training period. After examinations in Bucharest and exams at the Royal College of Music in London, she completed both her artistic training and the soloist class with distinction. She received various scholarships to support her studies, such as a 2-year full-time scholarship from the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Raluca Wagenhäuser has already given many concerts in Europe and Asia as a soloist, chamber musician and with orchestra. She has played for CD and DVD and also in radio and television productions.

Since 1997, she has successfully taught master classes and music camps in Europe and Asia. In order to pass on her ideas and the Meta-Music-System developed from them in the best possible way, she founded an International Academy a few years ago. In the meantime she is president of the European College of Music.

Together with selected international colleagues she supervises students in European musical traditions.  Her students have already successfully won competitions and received teaching positions at universities.
