Evelyn Laib

Correpetition historical keyboard instruments, focus on harpsichord

Vita

Evelyn Laib studied harpsichord and basso continuo with Jon Laukvik in Stuttgart, with Lars Ulrik Mortensen in Munich and with Jesper Christensen and Andrea Marcon at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. She also received important impulses, also for playing the clavichord and fortepiano, from Alfred Gross, Dirk Börner and Ottavio Dantone. 

She has won prizes at numerous chamber music competitions, including the "Van Wassenaer-Concours" 2004 in The Hague/NL and the "Early Music Network Young Artists' Competition" 2005 in York/UK. In addition to her performances as a soloist and chamber musician, she also enjoys participating in opera productions and courses (at the Innsbruck Early Music Festival, the Ludwigsburg Schlossfestspiele, the Göttingen Handel Festival, etc.).
