Baritone, studied voice and piano at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe; his most important teachers were the American mezzo-soprano Lucretia West, the hero baritone Günter Reich, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, the director Renate Ackermann and the song accompanist Norman Shetler. 

In 1991 he made his debut as Mozart's Figaro at the Regensburg City Theatre; Since then he has sung at opera houses in Basel, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe, Munich and Passau, and has been invited to festivals, concerts and especially song recitals in France, Austria, Switzerland, Russia (Tchaikovsky Conservatory), Hungary, Poland, England, Jordan, Israel (Kfar Blum Chamber Music Festival), Brazil, USA, Latvia (National Opera Riga), Mexico (CulturAle Mexico-City, Cervantino-Festival Guanajuato), and many others. among others in the main parts of the operas "Jakob Lenz" and "The Conquest of Mexico" by Wolfgang Rihm. 

His particular vocal preferences are modern and lied, but he is also a sought-after oratorio singer. He has also shown his diverse musical interests as a piano accompanist, choirmaster and conductor. He is artistic director of the award-winning Karlsruhe Young Vocal Ensemble MILAGRO. 

From 1989 to 2003, Andreas Reibenspies taught singing at the Karlsruhe University of Music. In October 2002, he was offered a professorship at the Trossingen State University of Music.
