Information on Data Protection

According to articles 13 and 14 of the EU-DSGVO, the person responsible for the data subject whose data he is processing must provide the information specified in the articles. This website complies with this obligation to provide information:

1. Names and contact information of the responsible person and their representative, where appropriate:

2. The purposes for which personal data is processed:

The personal data is processed for the implementation of the membership relationship (e.g. invitations to meetings, contribution collection, organization of events).

Additionally, personal information in connection with cultural events will be published, including reporting on them, on the website of the Association and also on local, regional, and national print media.

3. Legal basis on which the processing takes place:

The processing of personal data is usually based on the need to fulfill a contract in accordance with Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR. The contractual relationships are primarily the membership relationship in the association and participation in cultural events.

If personal data is collected without the processing being necessary to fulfill the contract, the processing takes place on the basis of consent in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 lit. a) in conjunction with Article 7 GDPR.

The publication of personal data on the Internet or in local, regional, or national print media takes place to protect the legitimate interests of the association (cf. Article 6 Para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO). The legitimate interest of the association is based on informing the public through reporting on the activities of the association. In this context, personal data including pictures of the participants are published, for example, in the context of reporting on cultural events of the association.

4. The recipients or categories of recipients of the personal data:

Bank details of the members will be sent to the Volksbank Trossingen eG, Hauptstr. 2, 78647 Trossingen.

5. The duration for which the personal data will be stored or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining the duration:

Personal data is saved for the duration of the membership.

Upon termination of the membership, the data categories will be kept for a further ten years in accordance with the statutory retention periods and then deleted. In the time between termination of the membership and the deletion,  the processing of this data will be restricted.

Certain data categories  are stored in the club archive for the purpose of club history. These are the categories first name, last name, special achievements or events in which the person concerned has participated. The storage is based on a legitimate interest of the association in the historical documentation of events and successes.

All data in the remaining categories (e.g. bank account information, address, contact information) are deleted upon termination of the membership

6. The data subject has the following rights under the conditions specified in the articles:

  • the right to information under Article 15 DSGVO,
  • the right to rectification under Article 16 DSGVO,
  • the right to erasure under Article 17 DSGVO,
  • the right to restriction of processing under Article 18 DSGVO,
  • the right to data portability under Article 20 DSGVO,
  • the right to object under Article 21 DSGVO,
  • the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority under Article 77 DSGVO,
  • the right to be able to revoke a given consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent up to the revocation.

7. The source from which the personal data originates:

The personal data is generally collected as part of the acquisition of membership.
