The solo hornist and university professor Saar Berger (born 1980) has been a member of the internationally-engaged soloist ensemble "Ensemble Modern" in Frankfurt since 2007. For many years, he has cooperated with many young and established composers from all over the world and has been able to enrich the already extensive international horn literature by performing numerous world premieres of horn concertos, solo pieces, and chamber music works dedicated to him as a soloist. He teaches at the Ensemble Modern Academy and has belonged to the teaching team at the Lucerne Festival Academy since 2017. He has been Professor of Horn at the Trossingen University of Music and member of the Positively Brass and Percussion Institute since October 2019.

In 2020, the first live video production by Saar Berger, "Horn Around the World" with 12 premieres for solo horn appeared online. The double album "Travelling Pieces," a portrait of Saar Berger with 17 premieres, was released in 2014  and the double album "Call, Studies & Games" with the Ensemble Modern Brass with 20 premieres appeared in 2017, both on the label Ensemble Modern Medien. The album "Sonorous" for two solo horns appeared in the publishing house of the instrument maker "Gebrüder Alexander" in Mainz with original works from the baroque period. The drummer and horn album "Stop & Horn" with Saar Berger was released in 2014 and is available from the Slovenian Composers' Union.

Der Solo-Hornist und Hochschulprofessor Saar Berger (*1980) ist seit 2007 Mitglied des international besetztes Solistenensemble „Ensemble Modern“ in Frankfurt. Seit vielen Jahren kooperiert er mit vielen weltweiten jungen und etablierten Komponisten und konnte die bereits umfassende internationale Horn-Literatur bereichern, indem er als Solist zahlreiche ihm gewidmete Weltpremieren von Hornkonzerte, Solostücken und  kammermusikalischen Werke aufführte. Er lehrt an der Ensemble Modern Akademie und seit 2017 gehört er zum Lehrerteam der Luzerne Festival-Akademie. Saar Berger ist seit Oktober 2019 Professor für Horn an der HfM Trossingen und Mitglieder des Positively Brass and Percussion Instituts.

Im Jahr 2020 ist die erste live Video-Produktion von Saar Berger „Horn um die Welt“ mit 12 Uraufführungen für Horn Solo online erschienen. Das Doppel-Album „Travelling Pieces”, ein Porträt von Saar Berger mit 17 Uraufführungen für Horn, wurde im Jahr 2014 veröffentlicht und das Doppel-Album „Call, Studies & Games” mit dem Ensemble Modern Brass mit 20 Uraufführungen erschien 2017, ebenfalls im Label Ensemble Modern Medien. Im Verlag der Instrumentenbauer „Gebrüder Alexander” aus Mainz erschien das Album „Sonorous“ für 2 Solohörner mit Originalwerken des Barock. Das Schlagzeuger & Horn-Album „Stop & Horn“ mit Saar Berger ist erhältlich beim slowenischen Komponistenbund und wurde im Jahr 2014 veröffentlicht.
