A varied and comprehensive course of study awaits you in the core artistic area of piano. Our teachers have international artistic experience and a high level of pedagogical expertise. In addition to lessons in your main subject, chamber music and song interpretation are naturally part of the core artistic area.

The extensive range of profiles to choose from is particularly attractive. For example, you can acquire knowledge of historical keyboard instruments at the internationally renowned Institute for Performance Practice, in basso continuo, jazz and pop, or even in digitally oriented music design – to name just a few possibilities.

For highly talented, exceptionally gifted pupils, the Trossingen Institute for Early Education (TRIFF) was established at the university in 2024. It consists of the music secondary school, the youth class and a network extending into the region.
